Unicorn tweed tops were created straight from the need of my (sometimes) delusional optimism that even in the darkest of times there are rainbows 🌈 and colour makes everything better. And so, Unicorn tweed tops were born.

Unicorn tweed tops are excellent to spin your own tweed yarn, filled with colourful rainbow coloured speckles of colour throughout your yarn! This is a blend that combines a special crossbreed of Merino and Corriedale resulting in a super airy fibre combined with colourful rainbow 🌈  viscose from sustainably sourced wood and bamboo fibres. These viscose fibres are  then dyed in rainbow colours and then blended with the sheep wool and carded together, which gives for a wonderful top that feels soft and airy.

It spins well in a woollen style spinning style with a short drafting technique. Every draw onto your spinning wheel or spindle will have colourful speckled little nepps, which will give your yarn a fabulous textured and colourful look and yet feeling super soft  and light for close to skin wear. The blend is comparable to 22micron.
