Merino wool is very soft and has a closely spaced crimp. You can spin a fine woollen yarn using the long draw or a worsted yarn using a short draw. Merino is ideal for super fine knitting, crochet and lacework.

These pure Merino tops come from non-mulesed merino sheep. We only use wool with good length that is free from breaks, has high bulk, brightness, low vegetable matter and is the correct micron. The wool is washed using a standard aqueous treatment with eco-friendly biodegradable detergent and dyed using ecologically-safe Oeko-Tex compliant dyes, then steam dried, carded, gilled, combed and finally braided.
The tops are then ready to use with no waste or preparation. They are easy to draft and easy to lay out for felting, or to use in all your needle felting projects.

The colours are deep and saturated and more colours will be added, coming soon!
